$20 Million pledged for veterans resource center at Syracuse University

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University has received a $20 million gift to help pay for its National Veterans Resource Center at the corner of Waverly and South Crouse avenues.

The donation from Daniel D’Aniello, a 1968 SU graduate, and his wife, Gayle, is one of the single largest gifts in SU’s history.

D’Aniello is co-founder and chairman emeritus of The Carlyle Group. He served as a supply officer in the US Navy from 1968 to 1971. He went on to earn a graduate degree from the Harvard Business School.
